Adelaide Simmer, callsign Empress, has accepted a mercenary job to take down a corrupt leader of a distant planet. She and her team, Quinn "Jester" Calliope and Renna "Knight" Faraday travel to a planet transformed into a parody of medieval europe and fight for justice, romance, and survival!

This book is loosely set in the Lancer universe and was originally posted on cohost as a response to a writing prompt for each day of the month of April involving jesters, fools, and clowns. Each day's original prompt has been maintained at the start of each section. Additionally, some extra Q&A questions directed at the characters have been added after the final chapter.
